Smart Internet Marketing at Guruphobia

Twitter seems the latest magnet for neophyte Internet Marketing Gurus and Guru-wannabes to pitch their wares.

Just the other day, one of these pseudo-gurus followed me on Twitter………occasionally I take a closer look at who is following me. This particular individual was promoting his software that promised to get you 10 THOUSAND Twitter followers in just 14 days!!!!!!

So I did the obvious thing (maybe not so obvious to the dewy-eyed newbie) and checked to see how many followers he had. He had started twittering about 3 weeks ago, and had a grand total of……………400 followers.

My friend, the chasm from 400 to 10,000 runs VERY deep.

I was struck by the sheer idiocy of this individual………..shilling his wares with numerical proof of his own failure staring everyone in the face.

Good lord………..are the gurus and guru-wannabes that cynical, or that desperate…………that they’d run such an moronically transparent ruse?

Apparently so.

I know you aren’t that stupid.
